Industrial Decarbonization Assistance Center

The Industrial Decarbonization Assistance Center (IDAC) platform serves as a support system to accelerate industrial decarbonization efforts. Developed by Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR), IDAC is designed as a comprehensive reference hub, enabling industries to easily access relevant and up-to-date information on policies, standards, and low-carbon technologies required in the transition toward sustainable and green industries.

One of IDAC’s main features is its provision of information on the Green Industry Standard (GIS). This includes details on applicable regulations and policies, implementation guidelines, and the policy framework underpinning the standard. Through this, industries can better understand both the obligations and opportunities associated with meeting government-mandated sustainability standards.

The platform also features a self-assessment tool that allows industries to evaluate their readiness and eligibility for meeting the Green Industry Standard. This tool helps businesses conduct internal evaluations, identify gaps, and plan necessary improvements. In addition, IDAC provides information on the locations of accredited green industry certification bodies, making it easier for companies to connect with official partners for certification processes.

Furthermore, IDAC offers regular updates on mandatory industrial emissions reporting requirements, ensuring companies stay aligned with the latest compliance regulations. The platform also showcases market-ready low-carbon technologies, helping industries discover innovative solutions to reduce emissions while improving operational efficiency. In this way, IDAC acts as a catalyst that strengthens industrial transformation toward decarbonization and long-term sustainability.
